Height Divisions

4” for dogs 6.5” and under at the withers; long-backed dogs 8” or less; dogs 8” or less with a 50% or less leg to shoulder height ratio.
8” for dogs 10.5” and under at the withers; long-backed dogs 12” or less; dogs 12” or less with a 50% or less leg to shoulder height ratio.

Games Classes
Qualifying & Titles

The judge determines the qualifying Point criteria based on the Rate of Travel appropriate for each level and is subject to approval in conjunction with the submittal of the course design.  For TDAA the standard course time should be set at each level at a rate consistent with those specified in the TDAA rules & regulations for standard classes.

Touch N’ Go
The goal of Touch N Go class is to demonstrate the dog’s ability to perform contact obstacles at speed on a course comprised of tunnels and contact obstacles.
Briefing: This course consists of contact obstacles and tunnels only.  The handler must direct the dog to perform the obstacles in the order specified by the judge.  All the handler has to worry about is the dog touching the contacts and staying on course.
Scoring: Touch N Go is scored faults, then time.  The dog with the fewest faults will win.  Time is a tiebreaker only.

Connect the Dots
The purpose of this game is for the dog to accumulate as many points as possible in the allotted time by connecting the dots.  The “dots” are the contact obstacles on course.  These are also the highest valued obstacles on the course.  The dog earns points for each obstacle performed in a “line” which is the series of obstacles from dot to dot.  These obstacles may be performed only once for points between the dots and may be performed only twice for points overall.
Scoring:  Connect the Dots is scored in points then time. Time is a tiebreaker only.

Copycat
Copycat is a “dog’s choice” game.  That means the handler can direct the dog through the performance of obstacles in the order and direction of his own choosing or the dog’s choosing as the case may be.  Each team has 35 seconds to gather points. The dog can perform each obstacle only twice for points.  If the dog performs the same type of obstacle back-to-back, called “copycatting” he will lose 5 points.  Every second over 35 that I takes the dog to cross the finish line will be penalize two points.
Scoring: copycat is scored in points then time.  Time is a tiebreaker only.

Quidditch
Quidditch is based on a game for witches and wizards from the literary work of J.K. Rowling the author of the popular Harry Potter series. As such, Quidditch is the perfect game for a club agility fun outing with a clear Halloween theme.  In keeping with this theme, the players are required to be dressed in costume.
Briefing: Each team will have 60 seconds to complete three numbered three-obstacle sequences. When time expires the dog should be directed to the table to stop time. The point values for each of the three-obstacle sequences are 15, 20, and 25 points respectively. Each three-obstacle sequence can be successfully completed only once. The sequences can be taken in any order. Each obstacle has individual point values that are earned by a team if a sequence is only partially completed prior to time expiring.
Scoring: Scoring for Quidditch is faults then time. Time is a tiebreaker only

Unsportsmanlike conduct, including rough handling or misconduct of any kind, will result in an excusal from the ring.

How the Fast Track Move-Up Works
Titles may be grandfathered from other organizations on a “Fast Track” basis.  A dog with a higher title from another organization may move up on the same day to the next level of TDAA competition with a qualifying score.  It is possible to move up from Beginners to Superior on the same day, if the dog qualifies first in Beginners, and then qualifies again in Intermediate.
A qualifying score in the lower class is required to move up to the next higher class.  The dog’s owner must submit a copy of title certificates for the dog.

Please mark each of the following that apply:

Move up from Beginners to:      Intermediate                    Superior
Move up from Games I to:      Games II                          Games III

Submit $8.00 with your move-up request, and attach this form.  Payment of the $8.00 is no guarantee that your dog will qualify at the lower level (though he will have four chances at each), and is non-refundable.
