STUD DOG CLASS-For dogs that have sired two dogs entered in a regular class, Best of Breed, or non-regular class at this show. Award will be based on merits of the get. Stud dog must be entered in stud dog class and be shown in the ring with his get. Judge’s decision in this class will be based on merits of more than one dog; no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class.
BROOD BITCH CLASS-Same as Stud Dog, except substitute “Brood Bitch” for “Stud Dog” and “Produce” for “Get”. Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Dog Show Rules provides that a “castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.”
BRACE CLASS- (Two dogs, not necessarily of the same sex, of identical ownership.) Dogs comprising a Brace must be named at the time of entry. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for “Brace Class Only”, fee for which is $15.00. In making an entry for Brace Class Only, full particulars must be given for each dog on individual AKC entry forms. An entry for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly (specify Brace Class) in the space provided for Additional Classes.

Keeshond Fanciers of the Central States will hold a Sweepstakes in conjunction with its Specialty Show, open to members and non-members with no restriction as to agent handlers. Entry fee is $18.00 and the dog must be entered in one of the regular classes at the Specialty. The word “Sweepstakes” must be written on the entry blank in the space provided for Additional Classes. The class winners will compete for Best in Sweepstakes & Best Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes Winner.
