From the North:  Take Rt. 301 South and turn right on Perlee Road.  Go to stop sign and turn left on Rt. 18.  Turn right on Dulin Clark Road.  The 4-H Park is on the right.

CLASS INFORMATION

REGULAR TITLING CLASSES:
Novice Agility, Novice Jumpers With Weaves & Novice FAST - Division A is for dogs and
persons that have never acquired any AKC agility title. Additionally, a dog entered in
Novice A must be handled by a person that has never put an AKC agility title on any dog,
and the handler must be the Owner, Co-owner, or a member of the Owner��s household.
Division B is for dogs that have acquired the Novice Agility Title, or the Novice Jumpers
With Weaves title, or for persons who have handled a dog to any AKC agility title, and for
dogs being handled by someone other than the Owner, Co-owner, or household member
subject to restrictions above.
Open Agility - Open to dogs that have acquired the Novice Agility or Open Agility titles
but which have not acquired a qualifying score towards their Agility Excellent title.
Open Jumpers With Weaves - Open to dogs that have acquired the Novice JWW or the
Open JWW titles but have not acquired a qualifying score towards an Excellent JWW title.
Open FAST - Open to dogs that have acquired the Novice FAST or Open FAST titles but
which have not acquired a qualifying score towards their Agility Excellent title.
Agility Excellent A - Open to dogs that have acquired the Open Agility title or the Agility
Excellent Title, but that have not acquired a qualifying score towards their Master Agility
Excellent title.
Excellent A Jumpers With Weaves - Open to dogs that have acquired the Open JWW title
and to dogs that have acquired the Excellent JWW title but have not acquired a qualifying
score towards their Master Excellent JWW title.
Excellent A FAST - Open to dogs that have acquired the Open FAST or the Excellent
FAST title, but that have not acquired a qualifying score towards their Master Excellent
FAST title.
Agility Excellent B - Open only to dogs that have acquired the Agility Excellent
title (AX) and dogs that have acquired the Master Agility Excellent title (MX).
Excellent B Jumpers With Weaves - Open only to dogs that have acquired the
excellent JWW title and to dogs that have acquired the Master Excellent JWW title.
Excellent B FAST - Open only to dogs that have acquired the Excellent FAST
title (XF) and dogs that have acquired the Master Excellent FAST title (MXF).

PREFERRED CLASSES:
Preferred classes are offered at all levels. All dogs must start in the Novice Preferred Class
regardless of AKC agility titles already earned. The owner may choose to enter the
Preferred Standard, the Preferred JWW and Preferred FAST classes in lieu of entering the
Regular classes at any trial. However, the dog must be entered only in the Preferred classes
or only in the Regular classes at the same set of trials. Preferred is scored identical to the
Regular classes except 5 seconds is added to the SCT in Agility and JWW classes and 3
seconds in FAST classes.

HEIGHT DIVISIONS
Owners are responsible for entering the proper height divisions. Dogs may be
subject to measuring at check-in or must present their AKC permanent measuring
card.

PRIZES & AWARDS

Unless otherwise indicated, the following are offered by the Border Terrier Club of America, Inc. through the generosity of its members.

AWARDS
Rosettes will be awarded to the first through fourth place dogs in each jump height
and each class and a dark green qualifying rosette. A rosette will be given to those finishing an agility title. Dogs finishing a MACH will also receive a MACH bar, if the club is notified in advance that a MACH is likely. All ribbons, rosettes and prizes must be claimed at the trial none will be mailed. Dogs must qualify to receive placement awards.


CHALLENGE TROPHIES

Challenge Trophies are offered through the Border Terrier Club of America, Inc. for competition at its shows only. For permanent possession, the trophy must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive shows. A Commemorative Trophy will be given at the Awards Dinner.

The Sunkist Trophy offered by Harriet Haydon given for all three classes, Novice, Open, and Excellent.

COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM -UPS
Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the
start of the class. There will be no obstacle familiarization at these trials.
A warm-up area consisting of a regulation agility jump shall be provided for all
exhibitors. Exhibitors may not use the warm-up area to relieve their dogs.


RUNNING ORDER
FAST classes will run in the morning, before standard and JWW.


CATALOGS
Agility will be part of the National catalog. Move ups may not be in the correct class due to printing deadlines. To purchase a full “agility only” catalog, include $10.00 with entry fees. A limited number of catalogs will be available at the trial.


TRIAL SITE/CRATING/PARKING
This event will be held outdoors on grass, using one ring, 100’ wide by 120’ long.
Crating is outdoors but there are out buildings available for crating. Shade tents may also be set up around the ring, should you prefer.


OBSTACLES
Obstacles shall meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of
Regulations for Agility Trials.
